News flash: The classic messy bun got an update (it was about time it did). It is now chicer and sleeker and um, not fully done. Any guesses? Yes, we are talking about the half-done bun or as I like to call it, the undone bun.

This quirky AF bun is already a celebrity favourite and a go-to hairstyle for red carpet events. We spotted celebrities like Nushrat Bharucha, Kriti Sanon and Hina Khan rocking this hairdo and couldn’t help but drool over the badass ‘I-don’t-care-if-my-hair’s-undone’ look, each time.

If you are swooning over this playful (we knew you would), here is a simple tutorial for you to ace it yourself. Keep reading to know how to recreate a half-done bun in easy steps.

How to:

Step 01: Begin by blow-drying washed hair. Once you get the desired volume, apply a small amount of hair gel or hair smoothening cream for the sleek look.

Step 02: Brush your hair back neatly and pull it in a mid-raised ponytail at the back. Secure it with a clear hair tie.

Step 03: Now, hold your ponytail in your hand and twist it once making it into a loop. Wrap the rest of your hair around the loop you just created, leaving about 3-4 inch of your hair from the end.

Step 04: Take the left-out end section through the loop and secure this bun with a bunch of bobby pins and U-pins until it’s sturdy.

Step 05: Brush the left-out section of hair for a neat look, tame flyaways and finish with a spritz of hairspray. Aaand, you’re done!
