Bun-styles need not be boring! If you’re stuck to the regular sleek bun and top-knot, then here’s a hairstyle that’ll help you break away from the rut. We’re talking about a bouffant bun!

This updated version of your regular bun can easily complement your vibrant floral dresses and elegant lehengas alike. All you need to do is follow the step-by-step guide below to ace this super chic hairdo:

Step 01: (Work this hairstyle on second or third-day hair) Start by combing your hair using a wide-tooth comb. Make sure you remove any knots or tangles before going in with the bun-style

Step 02: Now, either use your finger or grab a rat-tail comb to section your hair. All you need to do is put a finger or comb by your ear and draw a straight vertical line from one ear to the other, sectioning off the front hair

Step 03: Clip the front section. Start by working with the section of hair falling at the back. Take the rest of your hair and pull it up high on your head into a ponytail

Step 04: Wrap the ponytail around to create a messy bun. Secure it with a hair tie

Step 05: Next, unclip the front section of your hair, divide it into two sections and further split it into two more sections, so you are left with four quarters

Step 06: Back-comb one of your bottom quarters and wrap it under and over the bun. Secure with a bobby pin. Do the same with the other bottom quarter

Step 07: Now tease one of your top quarters and smooth it diagonally over your head and go around coming back up. Secure with a bobby pin. Repeat the same with the last top quarter

Step 08: Finish off with some texturizing spray and tug at the front section for it to look like a bouffant bun.
