Ponytails make for the most classic hairstyle ever. Be it a cocktail party, a wedding reception or a regular day at work, a ponytail can be worked in a zillion ways. Whether you want to keep it super basic or go all-out, there’s a lot you can do to experiment with a ponytail.
One such ponytail version that will take your beauty quotient a notch up is a braid stringed ponytail. If you’re bored of tying your hair in the same old boring manner, then here’s a hairstyle you must try in order to break the monotony. To help you ace this cool hairdo, we’ve got you covered with a step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Run a wide-tooth comb through your hair to remove any knots or tangles
Step 2: Divide your hair into two sections—front and back, with the help of a rat tail comb
Step 3: Make a ponytail with the back section of your hair and secure it with an elastic band
Step 4: Now, divide your front hair into two sections, and further subdivide those two. So, you have four strands in total to make a braid with
Step 5: Start braiding the first and third strand together and follow it up by braiding the second and fourth strand together. Continue braiding till you reach the end of your hair strands
Step 6: Pin up half the braid on the side of your head, just above the top of your ear
Step 7: Wrap the remaining braid around your ponytail for extra oomph. Or, simply let it hang with the rest of your ponytail. Finish off with some hair spray
