Your traditional bun just got a super chic makeover, it’s called braided chain bun!
Now, let’s admit it! A bun-style is not only timeless but also a staple hairdo for any girl who wants to keep hair off her face. And that’s not all! With all your hair off the nape of your neck, you don’t have to worry about sweat making your tresses all sticky and smelly. Since the wedding season is on, you do need more alternatives to keep your hair game going strong. Therefore, upgrade to the latest, chicest version of a bun. Ditch the regular messy bun or top-knot for a classy braided chained bun.
While it may take a little more effort to ace this hairstyle, it is definitely something that’s going to make a statement. So, while you do a trial round for your outfits, we suggest you give this trendy hairstyle a shot too. Here’s a step by step guide to help you master the look:
Step 01: Smoothen out your hair by running a wide-tooth comb through it. Make sure you get rid of any knots before styling your hair
Step 02: With the help of a rat-tail comb, part your hair down the middle
Step 03: For a chained bun, you will need to create four micro-braids going all over your head—two in line with your temples and two right above each ear
Step 04: First, take the front hair on one side and start braiding it from the top of your head. Don’t braid it all the way down, leave a few inches. Repeat the same on the other side
Step 05: Now, take a section of hair just above your ear and braid it in the same way as the first two braids. Repeat the same on the other side
Step 06: Now that you’ve successfully created four micro-braids, pull all your hair together into a ponytail
Step 07: Braid the ponytail all the way down and secure it with a rubber band
Step 08: Finally, coil your braid and wrap it into a bun. Secure the bun with a few bobby pins
Step 09: Finish off with a hair spray so that your hairstyle remains in place
