Today, we’re going to talk about pineapples (look at you drooling already)! If you love this juicy fruit, then let us break it to you that it’s got nothing to do with the fruit. *sigh* Instead, we’re talking about pineapple hair… yes, it’s a thing!
Now, before you come to any conclusion, pineapple hair is a kind of bun-style that has been getting recognition of late, thanks to celebrities who’ve been flaunting this cool hairstyle on their tight curls.
So, if you’re a girl with curls, then here’s a step-by-step tutorial for you to ace pineapple hair like a true-blue diva.
Step 01: Prep
Start by spritzing a texturizing spray such as the Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray to create texture and body. Work it on dry hair and scrunch with your fingers so that your hair looks voluminous.
Step 02: Ponytail
Gather all your hair together and tie it up into a high ponytail making sure it sits right on top of your head. Secure it with a scrunchie.
Step 03: Tease
Take a fine tooth comb and tease your ponytail with it. Even though your curly hair has enough volume, teasing will give it a messy effect. Just what you need in a pineapple bun.
Step 04: Divide
Section your ponytail into two halves and wrap half loosely into a bun. Secure it with the help of bobby pins.
Step 05: Pineapple bun
Lastly, wrap the other half into a bun and secure it with bobby pins. Make sure you wrap it in front so that a few tendrils can loosely fall on your forehead giving it the perfect pineapple finish.
