Messy buns have become the go-to hairstyle for most of our lockdown days. Running errands? Create a messy bun. WFH calls? An accessorised messy bun, for the win! Doing chores around the house? Throw your hair in a quick messy updo. You get the drift.
But if you still haven’t mastered the art of working the messy bun look, well, you are in luck. Here is a super quick and easy (2 steps, duh) messy bun tutorial that requires nothing but a hair tie to recreate. Excited? Read on to find out how it’s done.

Step 01: Start by running your fingers through your hair. This will not only help to gently remove knots, if any, but also add a bit of root volume to limp-looking hair. (P.S. Reserve this hairdo for slightly greasy second or third-day hair. This will give you better hold and some much-needed natural texture.)
Step 02: Next, take a clear elastic and tie your hair in a low half undone ponytail and pull out a few face framing strands from the front. Twist the bun a little bit to hide the elastic and tease it a little bit for that messier, effortless look.
And with this, your quick and easy 2-step messy bun is ready. Complete this hairdo with a cute accessory to make it your own!
