Ask any girl what she thinks of a ponytail and you’ll hear the same answer from everyone: “they rock”! Ponytails need no occasion. PERIOD! Heading to the gym? Pull all your hair together into a ponytail. Getting dressed for a date night? Try a pouf ponytail. Running errands? Keep hair off your face by wrapping it into a ponytail.
Sporting the regular ponytail each time can obviously get boring. Thanks to celebrities, runway models and beauty influencers, we have so much hair-spiration around us to try various editions of a ponytail. From sky-high to pouf and braided, there are so many different ways to amp up a ponytail. One such version to have surfaced is known as the partly braided ponytail, and no, it is not the same as a braided ponytail.
The step-by-step guide
As the name suggests, a partly braided ponytail is where you can visibly notice the ponytail on one side and braid on the other in one single hairstyle. Complement this uber-chic hairdo with your easy-breezy casual attire or add some hair rings to your braid and style it with your embellished lehengas.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get a partly braided ponytail right:
Step 01: Comb your hair to remove any tangles
Step 02: Take a section of hair from the side of your head, right above your ear and start braiding it
Step 03: Work a French braid all the way to the end and secure it with a clear elastic
Step 04: Now, pull all of your hair (including the braid) together into a ponytail and secure it with another clear elastic
Step 05: Lastly, take a strand of hair from your ponytail and wrap it around the elastic to add more oomph to your hairstyle
Step 06: Finish off with a hairspray to hold your hairstyle in place.
