To prevent your scalp from feeling dry and flaky, it is important to use products that are specifically meant to moisturise your scalp. From your shampoos to setting spray, try and pick moisturising formulas as far as possible to keep dry scalp at bay.

Indulge in a hot oil massage

For people with seriously dry scalp, it is advisable to indulge in a hot oil massage, atleast twice a week. This will help condition and hydrate the scalp from deep within, preventing dryness.

Simply heat your favourite hair oil for a few seconds and apply it all over your hair and scalp using a cotton swab and cover it with a shower cap. Leave it on for about two hours and wash off as usual. Do this regularly and see your hair quality improve over time.

Use hair masks

Another great way to combat a dry scalp this winter is to use a moisturising hair mask treatment regularly. This is a great way to lock-in moisture and prevents your scalp from feeling itchy. There are a ton of hair masks available in the market, but if you like using natural ingredients in your hair care routine, then you can make your own hair mask using honey, avocados and some coconut oil.
