Of all the things that we want for our skin, it breaking out into acne is definitely not one of them. Despite spending hours and loads of money on expensive skincare, it is still such a difficult task to get our skin to behave and remain acne-free.
Well, what better a way to deal with acne than to prevent it? Below are 5 simple tips to prevent acne...
- Keep your hands away from your face
- Reduce oily food intake
- Wash your face before and after your workout
- Go light on the makeup
- Workout at least twice a week
Keep your hands away from your face
You touch so many things with your hands each day, thereby making them a breeding ground for all sorts of bacteria. When you touch your face with the same hands, you’re putting all that bacteria on your skin which in turn leads to skin problems. To keep yourself from constantly touching your face, hold a pen or stress ball when your hands are free so that you won’t touch your face.
Reduce oily food intake
Greasy food is one of the major reasons for the cause of acne and is a strict no-no if you are looking to eliminate pimples. Go for baked alternatives instead of anything fried, and if you can, cut out fast, fatty food altogether.
Wash your face before and after your workout
The bacteria and pollutants on your face mix with your sweat and get into your pores while you are working out. To avoid this it is important to wash your face before the gym. Similarly, it is also important to wash your face after the gym to remove sweat and dirt immediately so there’s no chance of it getting into your pores, which can clog them and cause acne.
Go light on the makeup
While all of us love our makeup, it is important to give your skin some days when you skip a full face of foundation and just apply a lightweight BB cream or some concealer. This will prevent you from potentially clogging up pores on your entire face.
Workout at least twice a week
Exercise helps increase blood flow to the body, which means that more oxygen can get to your skin, therefore keeping it fresh and clean. You’ll work to flush out bacteria and toxins from your skin, which will prevent acne from happening.
