An entire day dedicated to sustainable fashion at the Lakmé Fashion Week? Yes, please! We’re so excited to see various designers showcase their sustainable fashion collections–particularly Padmaja, whose collection will have naturally dyed organic cotton as its key fabric. The collection is called ‘Afternoon’ and will have a breathable, easy silhouettes.
We were thoroughly impressed with his last year’s collection at Lakmé Fashion Week which consisted of easy suits, jackets, shirts etc. in the finest cotton and Irish linen. This year, we can’t wait to see what Gaurav Khanijo’s collection has in store for us! The collection is called ‘Circa Malgudi’ and will showcase designs inspired by none other than RK Narayan’s Malgudi Days.
Tarun Tahiliani’s avant-garde collection at the Lakmé Fashion Week this year is a unique amalgamation of elements inspired by stars and constellations with light floral detailing and jewel motifs. We’re also really excited to see the outfit which showstopper Kriti Sanon will be adorning!
Falguni and Shane Peacock
The designer duo is all set to debut a men's collection and we're so excited to see what they have in store for us. For now, all we know is that the collection will feature suits, blazers and more with a unique touch of feather detailing, sequins and embroidery.
Nishka Lulla’s Summer Resort collection will be a collaboration with Caprese–a brand that’s known for its high-fashion, statement bags and accessories. She gave an exclusive byte to BB on the trending fabrics that she has used in her collection this year–cottons, crapes, silks and denims.
Lakmé Fashion Week’s finale designer this year will be Anamika Khanna. Her collection will be a combination of contemporary designs and Lakmés new ‘reinvent nudes’ collection! Also, the cherry on the cake is… wait for it… Kareena Kapoor Khan! She will be the showstopper and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better closing designer-showstopper duo.
