Marriages are made in heaven it’s said, but wedding receptions are definitely celebrated here on earth! Shahid Kapoor got married to Mira Rajput in a very quite ceremony that left many people surprised and many clamouring for more information about it. The newlywed couple made up for the private wedding ceremony by throwing a lavish wedding reception that was attended by many Bollywood biggies. Although this was a grand affair, it was still a very exclusive one. Only invitees were allowed to enter the venue. The newlyweds came out to pose for the media at one point and we have to say—they make one of the cutest couples ever!
Shahid Kapoor in a Kunal Rawal tux and Mira Rajput in a Manish Malhotra lehenga looked fantastic. They stood holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes dreamily (how they managed that with the flashbulbs going crazy, we don’t know)!
Seen attending the reception and giving the couple their blessings and love were Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Genelia D’Souza.
Bollywood’s darlings Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt walked in looking their gorgeous selves in Indian ensembles and wished the couple a happily ever after.
Shraddha Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor made quite a style statement with their anarkalis as they arrived to congratulate the newlyweds at the star-studded reception.
Arjun Kapoor looked his dapper self in a suit while Kriti Sannon looked stylish as ever in an Indo-western golden ensemble.
Dressed in a pink sari, Preity Zinta made her presence felt at the event while others in attendance were Shiamak Davar, Masaba Gupta with her beau Madhu Mantena, Anurag Kashyap, Sonu Sood, Tusshar, Vishal Bharadwaj, Archana Puran Singh with husband Parmeet Sethi amongst others.
To add to the cuteness factor, Shahid Kapoor’s fans came to the venue and sang songs to celebrate their favourite star’s happy day! All in all, a fun, pleasant evening filled with love and laughter! We wish the happy couple many years of wedded bliss.
