When it comes to Lakmé Fashion week, I am one of those people who pick up an outfit at the last minute. While that’s a fun way to go about things, it always gets you into trouble.  A big thank you to white shirts, lace dresses, blazers and other wardrobe essentials for rescuing me from the painful process of picking the perfect outfit.

Sky high heels are temptingly fashionable. However, walking around the venue for hours with 6 inch heels isn’t anywhere near practical unless you’re a super woman! I remember those days when I thought I could wear high heels and pull it off. While it looks good for a while, the aftermath isn’t that pleasant.

This time at Lakmé Fashion week I decided to stick to classics. A simple fuschia shift dress with a structured blazer worked for me. Mid heels can be a blessing during these days as you can walk around the venue and  still look put together. A boyfriend watch and a friendly bracelet that says ‘Hello’ seals the deal.

A large tote with all the basic necessities that a blogger needs was a better option than a tiny box clutch that could barely fit a lip gloss. I couldn’t be more thankful to the monsoon for keeping my mane sane. Always carry a hair serum and a hair brush to fix your tresses. When it comes to makeup - a simple eyeliner and a deep red lipstick does wonders. A compact or loose powder is saviour for women with an oily t-zone.
