‘Valliyan’ designer Nitya Arora was fierce as ever with her ‘Victoria’ collection, which took the form of headgear, harnesses, bracelets, belts and big shoulder dusters that spelt bold when it comes to jewellery. Details? Thread tassels, feathers, Swarovski crystals, semi-precious and coloured stones all came together to create regal couture pieces.
She told the tale of an exuberant wanderer through her collection, her garments frayed from excess detailing and focused on utmost minimalism. Our favourite? The blush and nude combination in soft, lightweight fabrics sealed with a cape.
The designer presented an international collection named ‘Bio:Sonic’ for men and women, and played with a contrasting colour palette in ivory, powder blue and pink to valiant green, cranberry and bold rust. What made her collection impactful was the usage of multiple fabrics such as leather, fur and mesh for a gorgeous collection that comprised sweatshirts, skirts and t-shirts.
The designer showcased a line of dawn-to-dusk separates this time around. The earthy colour palette formed the basis of his collection with opulent 3D embroidery and handmade lace on a collection of capes, tunics, kimonos, crossover blouses and jackets.
The queen of bling stayed true to her forte and showcased a super-glam red carpet collection. Inspired by Brigitte Bardot and titled ‘Riviera,’ she showcased super-sexy swimwear with mirrorwork, and moved onto gowns, minis, racer-back dresses and halters with heavy zardozi bands. Unique piece? A high slit sequinned maxi skirt paired with a knitted blouse for optimum glamour.
