SABYASACHI’S BALLOON MAGIC
Accuse us for being biased but for us, Sabyasachi can do no wrong. While his ‘70s Bollywood-inspired show was a class apart, the printed pants, glittery crop tops and bell-bottom jumpsuits had us at hello. But you know what truly did it for us? Those balloons! Most simple, most unexpected and yet so fantastic! What a great picture that made for. Don’t know about you but this show’s always going to be “the one with the balloons” for us and rest assured, we’re going to be talking about it for a while.

CHITRANGDA SINGH’S IMPROMPTU JIG
Tarun Tahiliani’s couture went beautifully with the Indian vibe of the show and the live folk musicians only added to the magic. And if wasn’t enough that the beautiful Chitrangada Singh was the showstopper, her little jig towards the end of the show with Tarun and one of the musicians was the icing on the cake. A far cry from the camera conscious stars, Chitrangda was free-spirited, fitting perfectly in character with the outfit she wore and of course so much fun to watch!

KALKI, THE FLOWER GIRL
When you have Bollywood’s sunshine girl as the showstopper, can you go wrong? Ms. Koechlin sashayed down the ramp wearing an all-white look by Nishka Lulla – a bustier with a collared crop top teamed with slit culottes and sneakers. While this made for a cute sight, the fact that she tossed flowers to the audiences, in a playful mood swaying to ‘La Vie En Rose’ brought an instant smile to our faces. Only the happy-go-lucky Kalki could’ve done that! Won’t you agree?

WENDELL RODRICKS’ SINGING MODELS
We loved Wendell’s summery look and retro vibe at the show. But here’s what the best thing was – the models didn’t only walk the ramp, they walked the ramp while flashing their widest smiles and singing to Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’– such a breath of fresh air from the otherwise straight faces they usually wear, right? Take a bow, ladies!

NIKHIL THAMPI’S BACKGROUND SOUNDTRACK
As Bollywood lovers, we’re always happy to see anything that revolves around the movies. And Nikhil Thampi’s show inspired by Bollywood from the ‘90s just did it for us! However, it was the music, which included tracks like Tip Tip Barsa Paani and Jumma Chumma that had the audiences grinning from ear-to-ear. How cool!

SHIVAN AND NARRESH’S POOLSIDE SHOW
The fashion gods of resort wear, Shivan and Narresh, pulled off a spectacular show at LFW. While their collection was a treat, the designer duo took the extraordinary route and chose to showcase their venue poolside – a move typically perfect for resort wear!
