Day 2 of Lakmé Fashion Week was dedicated to sustainable fashion. Cue in a dazzling display of hand-spun and hand-woven fabrics like silk, wool, cotton and khadi in very stylised and contemporary designs. As models walked on the runway, the outer lounges and terraces at St Regis, Mumbai, were no less fashionable with the who’s who of the fashion world also showing solidarity with the day’s theme.

We love the pairing of the olive green saree with a wrap-around top and big chunky neckwear.

There are so many interesting things happening in this image that we are mind-blown. The little square glasses, the tribal necklace, the Kerala-inspired ring and the dupatta wrapped around her waist on top of denim shorts. Speechless.

Carol Gracias checkmating us with her black and white number. Looks too cool to be true.

Khadi is re-imagined here as palazzos and teamed with an edgy corset top with a tie-up back.

Srishti Dixit looks holiday ready in this easy summer khadi dress and belt combo. She has accessorised her look with very interesting silver danglers.

Not only were the outfits in line with the sustainable fashion theme of Day 2 at LFW, but the accessories we spotted also bore the same ideology. We love this woven jute handbag in red.
