But even though your friends got the memo on a BYOB party, you’d be one helluva boring host if you didn’t put some of your bartending skills on display. Sounds too last minute? It really isn’t. All you need is 3 minutes to make these delish cocktails …
Cherry Mint Mojito
Ain’t nothing better than a chilled cherry mojito to come home to. Make it count!
90 ml club soda
60 ml white rum
Fresh lime juice
Squeeze half a lime into a glass and mix the juice with mint and black cherries. Top the mixture with club soda, white rum and a few ice cubes. Throw on a few cherries and mint leaves for garnish.
Probably the first cocktail (one of) you ever ordered at a bar. Time to personalize it!
60 ml vodka
15 ml triple sec
30 ml simple syrup
30 ml lemon juice
Coat the glass rim with sugar and set it aside. Add all the ingredients and ice cubes into a shaker and shake well. Strain into the sugarcoated glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
Raspberry Peach Sangria
For a large crowd that agrees on one thing—wine, is the answer.
1 bottle of red wine
1/3 cup brandy
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup frozen peaches
1 peeled orange
3 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp agave nectar
Mix all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add some raspberries and a slice of lime for garnish.
