The only worse thing than the scorching summer heat? The perpetually bad hair days the monsoon brings with it. But this year, we’ve decided to take charge and not let monsoon hamper our hair game. With just a little bit of prep and sneaky wrist action to style your hair into submission, this issue can be resolved in minutes!
Here are 3 super fun and trendy hairstyles to tame the monsoon frizz. Psst...we have a step by step guide to go along each of them!

01. Scarf ponytail
Ever wondered why silk pillowcases are so sought after to maintain smooth hair? That’s because they don’t cause friction and keep your hair strands from breaking and falling out. So, you can be sure that a silky scarf will keep monsoon frizz at bay and make you look this cute as well. Here’s how to recreate Kritika’s hairstyle:
Step 01: Prep your tresses with the TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Frizz Control And Straightener Serum and tame any flyaways with a paddle brush.
Step 02: Part your hair in a shallow side part and separate chunky tendrils from the front. Collect the rest of the hair in a low ponytail and secure with a clear hair tie.
Step 03: Take a silk scarf and fold it in diagonally from the centre to create a triangle. Tie up the low pony and let the scarf fall naturally.

02. Half up space buns
Space bunsare super chic and instantly skyrocket your glam appeal — plus, they’ve been trending hard this season, which gives you all the more reason to try ‘em out.
Step 01: Prep your hair with the TIGI Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray. The humidity-resistant formula combats frizz and the medium-hold is all you need to keep the buns in place.
Step 02: Separate your hair into two sections — half up and half down. Use a claw clip to hold down the open hair in place, and separate the half up hair into sections. Twist-up one section into a casual bun, hold with a smaller claw clip. Twist the loose section in a space bun, use a thin black hair tie to secure it and push in U-shaped hairpins to tuck in any loose ends.
Step 03: Do the same with for the other bun and once done, release the rest of your hair from the clip and comb it out. Add some loose waves in the end, if you want to!

03. 90s loose top knot
The trick to being happy with monsoon hair is to embrace the frizz rather than fighting it back. This 90s inspired top knot from Pooja is totally lovey and here’s how to recreate it:
Step 01: Prep your tresses with the Dove Volume and Fullness Dry Shampoo for that textured and gunk-y look. It will also absorb some of the humidity trapped in your hair strands.
Step 02: Leave out a couple of tendrils loose in the front and put the rest of your hair in a top-knot. Gently tug on the knot to loosen it a little.
Step 03: Add tight curls in some tendrils and straighten the rest to create a chic mismatched look.
