As much we love to let our hair down, the scorching heat and humidity sure dampen our plans! The good ol’ ponytails are our BFFs through this all. Ponytails are the easy and reliable hairstyle that never lets us down, but it sure gets boring to just put your hair up in a hair tie. Step 01: First and foremost, brush your hair and make sure they are tangle-free. Now, separate about two inches of the hair, framing your face on each side securely with pins - this will make sure you don’t disturb them while going ahead.

Step 02: Tie the rest of your hair in a low ponytail.

Step 03: Now, bring the two separated hair from step 01 to the back of your head over the base of your ponytail in a criss-cross manner — make sure they overlap each other.

Step 04: After that, secure these ends underneath the bottom base of your ponytail with an elastic hair tie firmly.

And that’s it; pretty easy, right?

While this style looks best with a low ponytail, you can take this a step forward and braid your hair too. Or you can also style the separated hair from step 01 into a braid and then make the criss-cross style over a simple ponytail — the possibilities are endless!
