It’s settled! Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is the official fashionista of Bollywood. Just after giving us some major FOMO by posting adorable pictures from her vacation in Japan, she is now making us swoon over her Filmfare cover. Boy does she look hot!
Dressed in a black bodycon dress with thigh high boots, Sonam sure looks like a million bucks! Her makeup reinstates the fact that black smokey eyes and nude lips are a match made in heaven. Love it, don’t you? Here’s how you can replicate the look in a few simple steps sizzles in this lethal makeup combination on the cover of Filmfare.
Sonam has kept her base makeup absolutely matte. To achieve the same look, starting by apply a good primer on a well moisturised face. The primer will not only elongate the wear-time of your makeup, but will also keep sweat away for a smooth finish all day long. Next, take a matte finish and apply the foundation it evenly all over your face using either a brush or a beauty blender. Then, conceal all the areas on your face that need extra coverage such as the under eyes, around your mouth as well as your nose. Your base is now ready!
Sonam’s contouring could surely give anyone a run for their money! To achieve a chiselled look similar to Sonam’s, start by using a contour stick on your cheekbones, forehead, nose, chin and jawline. Blend, blend, blend! Next, add some colour to your face by applying a little bit of blush to the apples of your cheeks. This will instantly make you look fresh.
Sonam’s makeup artist Arti Nayar has often created magic on her eyes! The smokey eye makeup takes her look several notches higher. Start by using a dark grey or black eye shadow on the upper lid and extend it outside to create a master wing. You can always use a kajal and smudge it out to create the same effect. Use the same eye shadow or kajal on your waterline and smudge it out for a smokey effect. Use any light coloured eye shadow in the inner corner to brighten up your eyes instantly. Finish it with double coats of mascara. Don’t forget to brush and fill in your brows for extra definition.
Since eyes are the focus of this look, play your lips down. Start by lining your lips with a lip liner that is closest to the lip colour you are planning to use. Then go over it with a nude brown or pink lipstick.
