Loose waves may have a huge fan following, but there’s nothing more stylish and dramatic than tight curls, IMHO. On days when you want to play up your hairstyle or wish to change your look drastically, wavy hair or loose curls won’t cut it. For days like these, you need to learn how to get natural-looking tight curls.
Now, we know, this hairstyle looks like a lot of work but that’s why we are — to simplify it for you. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you ace natural-looking tight curls.
You will need:
- Blow dryer
- Curling iron
- Heat protection spray
Step 01: More the volume, the better this hairstyle will look. To add volume, prep your hair with a blowout; don’t worry if your blowout is nowhere close to a professional one. Simply flip your hair over and blow dry upside down, this will lift up the roots and add instant volume
Step 02: Now, take a small section of hair and spritz the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray on it. Twist this section of hair from root to tips
Step 03: You need a thin barrel (0.75 to 1-inch in diameter) for this hairstyle. If you have thin or fine hair, set the temperature below 200 degrees. For those with thick hair, set the temperature between 200-300 degrees
Step 04: Wrap the twisted section of hair around the wand and hold it for a few seconds. Remove the wand and allow the curled section to cool
Step 05: Repeat all over. Once your hair is completely curled, give it a gentle shake with your fingers to bump up the volume.
