However, you can always trust the natural ingredients to keep your skin healthy and fight all that the weather throws at it. One such ingredient is cocoa butter.
Extremely nourishing and moisturising, cocoa butter can really help your poor winter-struck skin. How, you ask? Here are three ways to use cocoa butter in your skincare routine.
Add it to your bathwater
It’s never too early to start on your moisturising sesh. You can use cocoa butter to moisturise your skin while taking a bath. Take a small amount of cocoa butter and add it to your warm bathwater. Give it some time to dissolve completely and then take a bath with it. It moisturises your body and leaves it soft and plump.
Make a face mask
To use cocoa b utter on your face, you can prepare a face mask with it and other moisturising natural ingredients like shea butter, olive oil, avocado and aloe vera. Mix some melted cocoa butter with any of these ingredients and apply it on a cleansed face. Let it stay for 15 minutes and rinse. Follow up with a moisturiser.
Mix with your lotions and oils
You can simply massage a small amount of cocoa butter on your body and face for five to ten minutes before hitting the sheets and let it stay overnight. However, in the day time, mix it with your lotions and creams and then apply. Also, for extra benefits, mix it with oils like coconut oil and then massage it on your skin to get smooth and nourished skin.
