Hailey Bieber took to her YouTube channel sometime last year and divulged all her skincare routine and secrets. In that, she said: “My standard when I go to bed at night is that if I'm not getting into bed looking like a glazed donut, then I'm not doing the right thing. Find yourself a moisturiser that helps you look like a glazed donut at the end of the day.” She also made a public announcement of this skincare trend on her Instagram with a recent post. Now we’re truly curious as to how she is looking so glossy, dewy and may we say — glazed? Guess that’s a new skincare term from now on, make notes!

Glazing donut skin: Here’s why you need to try this Hailey Bieber-approved skincare trend

Step #1: The most crucial part before starting your skincare is to cleanse it. Use a gentle cleanser, followed by an exfoliant like the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. Exfoliation is the key to starting this skincare regime as it removed any dead skin cells, product residue, pollution or grime ensuring maximum absorption of products.

Step #2: The key to this routine is to layer products properly to achieve a dewy and radiant look. So, after exfoliation, apply a serum that is hydrating and preferably with ingredients like Vitamin A, E and D like the Lakmé Absolute Ideal Tone Refinishing Night Concentrate. This will keep your skin plump and strong.

Step #3: What do we skincare buffs love? Moisturising. So it’s time to blend in some nutrient-dense moisturiser so that your skin stays nourished and hydrated all night. It is also important to understand your skin’s needs alongside this routine. Hailey suggests using a lightweight moisturiser when you’re breaking out or have oily skin to prevent product buildup and clogging. The Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser is our go-to since it’s formulated without harsh chemicals and is suitable for all skin types.

Step #4: The next and final step is facial oil. Now, before our oily skin ladies dismiss it saying that face oils will simply make you feel more greasy unnecessarily, hear us out. While oils, in general, are heavy, facial oils like the  Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Radiance Overnight Oil-in-Serum are lightweight products that help nourish your skin and lock in moisture. And did you know that the more hydrated your skin is, the less oil it will produce?
