4 common makeup mishaps and how to fix them

Makeup newbie or expert, beauty mishaps are bound to happen and more often than not they’re rather embarrassing. Instead of washing off your makeup, starting it all over again and getting late, what if you could quickly fix them? We gave it some thought, put our creative brains to work and found ways to fix the 5 most common makeup mishaps. Read on to find these out…

Bleeding lipstick

Too much blush

What a disheartening sight it is, when your favourite red lipstick stays everywhere but your lips. Obviously matte lipsticks to the rescue but if you just can’t give up on your creamy lipsticks then just line your lips using a matte lip liner such as the Lakmé Kareena Kapoor Khan Absolute Lip Definer. It will help keep your lipstick in place till its last breath!

Smudged eyeliner

Too much blush

Having oily eyelids is a curse your eye makeup hardly ever stays in place. Your day starts off with winged liner and you end up with washed liner within 2 hours. If your waterproof eyeliner isn’t helping, dab some black eye shadow powder over the liner to make it last long. Also, apply some translucent powder around the corner of the eyes to prevent oil from ruining your eye look.

Patchy mascara

Too much blush

If your mascara is patchy chances are it is too old and ready to retire. Use a baby wipe to press down and remove clumps from your eyelashes. Alternatively you can also use the Vaseline Original Pure Skin Jelly to get rid of the ugly clumps. Spread a little on your fingertips and lightly apply on the tips of your lashes to make them appear darker and defined.

Too much blush

Too much blush

Went overboard with a little extra blush that makes you look funny? If you have applied powder blush tap some loose or translucent powder over it to make it lighter. If it was a cream based blush take some liquid foundation on your makeup sponge and apply lightly over the blush.
