Without further ado, here is sharing six makeup tips and tricks to help you wear your makeup to the T in no time…
Go for a tinted moisturiser instead of foundation
You don’t want to find yourself struggling to blend in your foundation when you have 5 minutes to go before your lecture. Tinted moisturiser or a BB cream is a key way to master the ‘no-makeup makeup look’ that is perfect for school. You’ll be able to show off flawless skin without having to worry about your face looking cakey.
- Touch up with concealer
- Don’t skip out on the brows
- Shadow instead of liner
- Balm and gloss it up
- Blot, blot, blot
Touch up with concealer
When you’re pulling all-nighters almost every night working on those assignments, you’ll find out quickly that concealer becomes your best friend. Whether you’re trying to cover up those dark circles or make your stress-related zits disappear, this is your holy grail makeup product.
Don’t skip out on the brows
We get it—having to tackle your unruly brows in the morning is not how you want to start your day. Unfortunately, this is the one step you should not miss out. Even if you decide to go bare faced for the day (props to you!), just a quick fill-in with a pencil and a comb through your brows will make a world of a difference.
Shadow instead of liner
If you’ve had enough drama at school and are looking to keep it chill for a change, give the dramatic winged liner a miss and opt for some nude shadow instead. Just sweep an easily blend-able shade over your lid and you’ve got yourself a look.
Balm and gloss it up
While bold matte lips are show-stopping, they require commitment. Unless you’re willing to retouch them often, you’ll find that after 7 hours of mind-numbing classes, all that will be left on your lips is a faint flush of colour. By going for a natural balm with some subtle shimmer, or some full-on gloss, you’d get the double benefit of having fully moisturised and super kissable lips.
Blot, blot, blot
Although this may not count as part of your morning routine, we felt that it was too important to not include in this list—blotting paper is everything when it comes to making sure that all the effort you went to at 6am does not go to waste. Keep a pack of blotting paper in your backpack and just dab your face whenever you feel that your face is oily or there’s just a bit too much shine.
