This fake eyelash application hack will give you longer, voluminous lashes

False eyelashes are the eye makeup equivalent of a lip gloss — they are infinitely fun to wear and elevate your makeup look from basic to high glam instantly. But unlike a gloss, which is super easy to apply, falsies can be tricky to wear, especially for beginners who are not well versed with the technique.

If placed wrong, fake eyelashes can irritate your eye, look out of place and mess up your eye makeup. Fortunately, we found a hack that not only simplifies the application process but also gives your eye a voluminous and snatched look. Conceptualised by UK-based beauty creator Sophie Hannah, this trick is super easy and makes your eyes pop…

Sophie’s has one simple rule —  do not stick the whole false eyelash band on your eye; instead, only apply it from the centre of your lids, going outwards. Here is a step-by-step guide on how she does it:

Step 01: Take your false eyelash and measure it from the centre of your top lash line to the end, then cut the extra band off and save it for later.

Step 02: Apply the lash glue to your lashes, and before it dries out, touch it to the lash line and take it away. Then, let the glue on both the faux eyelash and your eyelid dry down — this helps the lashes stick on better and stay for longer.

Step 03: Once the glue is dry, stick the lash above your natural lash. Take the extra piece and stick it just above the outer corner of your eye.

Step 04: Once both the lashes are in place, blend your natural lash with the false lash using the Lakmé Eyeconic Curling Mascara for an added dramatic effect!
