We’ve all got Kim Kardashian to thank for making contouring a part of our regular beauty routines. However, it’s not an art that everyone has mastered. The heavy creams can be difficult to work with. And if you don’t have the time to blend them well, they can look like muddy patches on the skin.
This is where reverse contouring comes into the picture. Much like contouring, reverse contouring lifts and slims down your features. But it is much simpler, uses just one lighter shade of translucent powder and looks way more natural.
So, if you’ve been researching contouring tricks to replace the intense blending, we’ve got a simple hack right here. Even though you can reverse contour your whole face, we want to focus on just the nose as it is the trickiest to contour. Check it out...
A step-by-step guide to reverse contour your nose
01. Baking powder: Once you’re done with applying your foundation and concealer, dip a triangle sponge in the Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Finishing Powder and apply it on both sides of your nose (except the centre) and go all the way to your under-eye area and cheekbones.
02. Warm blush: Take a blusher on a powder brush and drag it down the bridge of your nose. Warm shades like the Lakme 9 To 5 Pure Rouge Blusher looks great on Indian skin tone.
03. Dust and blend: It is recommended that any form of baking should be given at least 5-10 minutes for proper setting—post which you can take a thick powder brush to dust the excess powder and blend the blusher.
04. Highlighter and bronzer: Use the Lakme Absolute Highlighter - Moon-Lit to add more definition to your nose. With a tapered brush, use the lighter shade to highlight the bridge and tip of the nose, and you’re done!
