With just a few basic makeup products and some pro makeup tips, it is possible to conceal just about any type of breakout or blemishes and achieve a flawless base in no time. Yes, really.

Scroll down a quick guide on how to perfectly cover up blemishes in five simple steps…

Step 01: Prep

Step 05: Set

After cleansing and toning your face, start with applying a lightweight hydrating moisturiser such as the Pond’s Super Light Gel Oil Free Moisturiser. Enriched with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, this moisturiser provides intense hydration while the lightweight texture sinks into your skin without any greasy or oily feel.

Step 02: Primer

Step 05: Set

Next, take a pea-sized amount of the Lakme Absolute Under Cover Gel Primer and pat it into your skin, concentrating on the blemish as well as the areas of your face that tend to get oily. Apart from making your makeup last longer, applying a primer will help to even out your skin tone by filling in your pores.

Step 03: Conceal

Step 05: Set

It is now time to conceal. Take a tiny bit of the Lakme Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer and apply it over the blemish and dab it into the skin using either your finger or a concealer brush. This method of applying concealer is called spot concealing, and it is the perfect way to cover up blemishes, active acne and texture. Avoid rubbing the concealer as it will only shift the product around and not deliver the right amount of coverage.

Step 04: Foundation

Step 05: Set

After spot concealing, go ahead and dot your entire face with a medium to high coverage foundation such as the Lakme Absolute 3D Cover Foundation SPF 30. Blend this foundation using a damp makeup sponge to avoid streakiness and achieve an airbrushed finish. Start with applying a thin layer of foundation and building it up as you go to prevent a cakey base.

Step 05: Set

Step 05: Set

An important part of concealing blemishes is to set the base. Lightly dust some of the Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Finishing Powder onto the concealer to set it firmly in place and keep it from budging. Remember to use a large fluffy brush and a very light hand to avoid cakiness and attain a natural and skin-like finish.
