As a beauty enthusiast, a big chunk of my salary is spent on buying new and exciting beauty products in the market. Given how much is spent on them, I try to use every last drop of the product. But when it comes to liquid lipsticks, it’s a whole different ball game.

With blushes or foundations, you can at least reach in with a spatula and scrape out the product. But liquid lipsticks come in slender tubes with the tiniest opening which makes it difficult to scrape out every last drop. It is frustrating because a lot of the product is settled at the bottom and sides of the tube. But one Instagrammer, @empties.likemysoul, found a genius way to fix this issue!

How to :

How to :

Step 01: With the help of a knife or blade, carefully pop out the inner plastic cap located at the very top of the tube

Step 02: With the help of the smallest spatula you have, get all of the product out of the tube. You can use a twirling motion to get the product onto your spatula and yes, you might have to repeat this a couple of times to get every last drop of product out

Step 03: Store the scooped out product in a tin can, or even a reusable kajal ki dibbi and use a liquid lipstick applicator (from another tube) to apply it.

The practice of using every last bit of product from your makeup and skincare staples helps reduce waste. The habit will also make your products last longer and you will be spending lesser on new ones. A win-win, if you ask us.
