Moisturising is an essential skincare step and you can’t skip it no matter what your skin type or the season. Now if you have oily skin, you probably find it getting particularly sticky and greasy during the rainy months, making you want to skip moisturiser and heavy foundation. It looks like a wise decision, doesn’t it? But it isn’t.

What you can do instead is wear a tinted moisturiser; it is lightweight, gives just the right amount of coverage and does not make your skin feel sticky or greasy. The easiest way is to invest in BB cream like the Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Cream SPF 30, but you can make one at home using the products you already have. This way you will have your perfect shade too! Here’s how you can make it...

make tinted moisturiser at home monsoon

Step 01: Take a daily lightweight moisturiser on the back of your hand, preferably one with SPF like the Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Day Creme SPF 20 With Pure Aloe Vera. The aloe vera extracts make it super hydrating yet lightweight, perfect for use in monsoon.

Step 02: Now take your favourite liquid foundation, one that offers a sheer coverage. Using a foundation that gives full coverage might be heavy for the skin. Opt for something like the Lakme Invisible Finish SPF 8 Foundation; pour a drop or two on the back of your hand.

Step 03: Mix the moisturiser with foundation well and apply in small dots all across the face. Then blend into the skin to get well-moisturised, even toned skin! Easy-peasy!

Note: Avoid mixing a huge amount of moisturiser and foundation for later use. This can reduce the shelf life of both the products. It is best to mix only how much is required at the time of use.
