How to remove makeup when you have run out of makeup remover

Any girl who knows her beauty game knows that more important than applying makeup is removing it. And we mean remove every last, stubborn bit of makeup that is determined to stick to your skin. The most dreaded horror for any girl who loves her makeup is being stuck in a situation when you have to remove your makeup but have run out of makeup remover.

Fortunately, there are ways of how to remove makeup even when you have run out of your trusted makeup remover and there are no wipes in sight.

When you have regular makeup on

Consider double cleansing, first with an oil cleanser and then with a foaming cleanser. If you do not have heavy, water-proof makeup on, then this simple cleansing method is enough to help get rid of it all.

Take a few drops of any oil and warm it up by massaging it between your palms. Massage this into your makeup. Oil is a great way to remove heavier makeup as the oil mixes with the oil-based makeup and dissolves it. Finish by using a foaming cleanser and rinsing your face with water. You can repeat the foaming cleanser for a squeaky clean wash. Pat dry.

When you are wearing a long-lasting lipstick and don’t have makeup remover

Transfer proof lipsticks are great. However they can prove to be a pain when you have to remove them. Simply massage a few drops a heavy oil like coconut oil or olive oil on your lips until the product comes away. Wash and rinse with a foaming cleanser. Pat dry.

Apply a drop of oil (coconut, olive or jojoba) on the base of the lashes to loosen the glue and pull at the lashes so they come away gently. Massage a few more drops of the oil to remove any residual glue on your eyelid. Wash and rinse with a foaming cleanser. Pat dry.
