A quick and easy college makeup look in 8 steps

If you’re a makeup noob, getting that college makeup look right can seem like a legit task. But we have something super interesting for you. Instagram influencer Shanaya Sardesai who recently joined the BB Beauty Squad is going to teach you a quick and easy makeup look that’s minimal, budget-friendly and perfect for college.

Step 01: Get a smooth base

The first step for any makeup look is to have a flawless finish. For that, start with this Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation. Use a round brush to blend the foundation, so it glides on really smoothly. Use a really light hand because on an everyday basis, you don’t want to wear heavy foundation, and you want your skin to breathe as much as possible. Also, don’t forget to blend your foundation down your neck to make it look seamless.

Step 2: Conceal dark spots

Next, apply the Lakme Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer under your eyes and wherever you think you have dark spots. Blend with a sponge. Then take whatever concealer is remaining on the sponge, and dab it on your eyelids. The skin below your eyes is extremely thin and sensitive, so make sure you’re using only the dabbing motion.

 Step 3: Apply setting powder

Now that you’re done with the foundation and concealer, go ahead and set everything in with the Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Powder Foundation Compact. Use it only on your t-zone and areas where you really need it for that natural dewy finish.

Step 4: Use a cheek tint

For the next step, use the Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color on your cheeks. This product is very pigmented, so just a small amount is enough. Dab a little on your cheeks and blend using a brush.

Step 5: Use a brown eyeliner

Next use a liner in brown like the Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal - Ash Brown. For college, black eyeliner can be a little bit much. So take a brown liner and apply it right on the edge of your lashes and blend it with your fingers.

Step 6: Fill in your brows

Use the Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Eyebrow Pencil to fill in your brows. For a natural everyday look, just use a very light hand and draw feather strokes.

Step 7: Apply a coat of mascara

Next up, use the Lakme Absolute Flutter Secrets Volumizing Mascara.  Make sure that you remove all the excess product from the mascara wand either on the tube or on a tissue paper. This will ensure that you get clump-free lashes.

Here’s a life-saving tip for you. In case you get any of the mascara on your upper lid, just let it be. Finish with the rest of your makeup and once your mascara has dried, use a q-tip to remove extras. If you try to do this when it’s wet, it's going to spread everywhere!

Step 8: Dab on a lip tint

The last step is to apply lipstick, Take a little of the lip and cheek tint on your ring finger and dab it on your lips. This way it will stay on your lips all day. Now dab whatever product is there on your fingers on your nose. This will actually give you that cute sunburnt kind of a look that is very young and fresh.
