This Concealer Hack Will Give You An Instant Facelift
Written by Sumona BoseSep 17, 2020
There is more to a concealer than just covering up zits or cleaning up mascara mistakes! This multi-purpose makeup product can help highlight, shape or enhance your features as well. And I’m about to show you how to use it for an instant facelift.
This concealer hack takes the idea of light under-eye concealers and switches up its placement in order to give you an instant facelift. (FYI, the usual, and popular way of using a concealer is to paint a triangle shape under the eye and a contour line under your cheekbones. This is an intense technique that makes your face glow from the centre, going out.)
Now let me show you how to give your entire face a lifted effect - recreating an Insta-baddie face in under a minute! Follow this step-by-step guide to achieve the look.
Step 01: For this facelifting effect, we suggest going with the foundation-first approach, this way you won’t have to rely on the concealer for a cover-up job. Remember to also prep your skin first with the Lakme Absolute Blur Perfect Primer for a matte base that hides imperfections. If you need an extra cover up for dark circles, use a colour corrector before your foundation.
Step 02: Take a brightening formula, like the Lakme Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer, and apply on the inner and outer corner of your eye, going upwards. Take it down to the side of your nose and the corners of your mouth as well.
Step 03: Blend these patches with a fluffy round brush, pushing the product in an upward direction. Lightly dab with loose powder to make sure that it doesn't move and voila, you are done!
