As much as we love makeup and creating different looks, we hate the part where we have to get rid of it at the end of the day. You would agree with us on this one, wouldn’t you? And it’s not just about being lazy or tired but the fact that certain products are so stubborn that it takes a lifetime to get rid of them!

Eye makeup, especially the waterproof type, is difficult to remove. Since it is formulated to stay put for a long time, your regular makeup remover won’t be able to effectively remove every trace of it. And we don’t want eye infections from something we love so much, right? So here’s an easy and effective DIY eye makeup remover that will do the trick.

 

You will need:

  • Half cup extra virgin coconut oil
  • 6 vitamin E capsules
  • 5-6 drops of lavender essential oil
  • Container to store the eye makeup remover

Step 01: Put the coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl and place it in the microwave for 15 seconds

Step 02: Once the oil has melted, add the contents of the vitamin E capsules into the bowl

Step 03: Now, add the lavender essential oil and give it a good stir to mix the ingredients. Store it at room temperature.

How to use: After washing your hands pour a few drops on your palm and gently massage your eyelids using the tip of your ring finger. After a minute or so, pick a soft cotton pad and gently wipe the makeup off your eyes. This should also remove waterproof mascara with ease.
