Sometimes, the hardest thing to wear is your own skin, especially when you have dry, flaky skin like mine. The dryness not only makes my skin look dull and lack-lustre, but also makes makeup application a legit task. Being someone who loves wearing makeup, the struggle is REAL! But today I’m going to let you in on a secret that will change your life.

This hack will help you ace your foundation without making your face look patchy. I jumped on to this hack when I discovered it and I’m sure you’re going to love it too.

So, dry-skinned beauties, rejoice! Here’s a bang-on foundation hack that is here to sort your life.

If you have dry skin, then moisturising goes without saying! Moisturise after your bath, before applying makeup, every two hours (especially if you’re sitting in an air-conditioned room all day) and before hitting the sheets. But, that’s not enough! The key is to moisturise strategically. How, you ask?

Before wearing any makeup or even a primer, slather on your regular moisturiser, especially on areas that are drier than the others. Next, use a moisturiser that has a balmy, thicker texture and moisturise a second time, typically around the nose, cheeks, forehead and mouth. Wait for a minute or two to allow the moisturiser to soak in and blot with a tissue to remove the excess.

This double moisturising technique will make sure your foundation doesn’t look cakey or patchy, and your skin looks fresh and hydrated.
