Not everyone is born with razor-sharp cheekbones. But it’s really not a big deal. Why you ask? Because, with the right makeup and a little bit of effort you can create the illusion of sharp, contoured cheekbones too! If this sounds intimidating and you think that only pros can contour the right way, then relax! Contouring is all about using the right mix of shades in the right portions of your face to get a more contoured effect that adds some shape and dimension to your face.
To help you achieve this look, we’re detailing everything you’ll need to fake the appearance of chiselled cheeks.
You will need:
- Contour brush
- Bronzer/contour powder
Step 1: Before you actually start contouring, it is important that you do your base in order to give your complexion a flawless finish. Use a buildable, full coverage foundation such as the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation With SPF 45 that nourishes the skin and gives it a dewy finish.
Step 2: With the help an angled contour brush, pick up some contour powder or a bronzer in a shade that is three shades darker than your natural skin tone.
Step 3: To perfectly contour your cheekbones, make a fish face in the mirror and trace the natural hollows of your face using the Kareena Kapoor Khan Lakmé Absolute Cheek Contour in Rose Gold. Once you have a line on either side of your face, blend out with the makeup blender.
Step 4: Once you notice that your face looks defined and the product has completely blended, it is now time to highlight your face. Simply apply a few quick swipes of your highlighter to the highest points of your face tops of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and around the inner corners of your eyes.
Step 5: Now that your cheekbones look perfectly chiselled, it is time to add a little colour to your face. Apply a little bit of the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos onto the apples of your cheeks for perfectly contoured cheekbones.
