Gossip Girl fans can relate; when Serena van der Woodson said that “Lipstick lasts longer, but lip gloss is more fun,” we felt that! Since the new normal has us practically spending all day in face masks, our lip gloss collection has been craving attention. Just because your matte lipsticks do a better job staying put under a mask doesn’t mean you can’t still wear gloss during other times. Whether it’s a Zoom meeting, virtual dates and quick photoshoots for your Insta feed, a gloss will up the drama and how!

A new lip gloss trend that we have been spotting a lot of late is the two-toned gloss look. This glossy lip look is created using nude and brown shades and makes the lips appear plumper, fuller and oh-so-yummy. The best part?

It is so damn easy to create! Here is how you can create the two-toned glossy lip in 3 simple steps:

Here's how to create a two-toned glossy lip look in 3 simple steps

Step 01: To create this high-shine gloss look, you need to start with a good base. Start with a simple sugar scrub to smooth out chapped lips. This will let the gloss glide on your lips ever so smoothly.

Step 02: To add depth to the lip, use the Lakmé Enrich Lip Crayon - Cinnamon Brown to fill in a soft shade into the perimeter and the corner of your mouth. A thicker outline will make for a bolder look, while a thin colour fill will give you a cleaner look.

Step 03: The final step is to take Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Lip Gloss - Creme Caramel and apply it all over your lips. Blend the gloss with the crayon liner using the gloss brush itself for a seamless finish. The non-sticky formula promises long wear and can even survive under a mask.

Pro tip: If you want an ombré two-toned effect, use a clear gloss instead of a pigmented one and focus more on the centre of the lips.
