Make a statement with the hottest lip trends of the season. Here’s how!

Of late, we have been seeing our Bollywood beauties sporting some stunning lip trends of the season and we are in love. From shimmery lips to blurred lips, they have tried it all and give us gorgeous looks that are anything but boring. If you are bored of wearing your lips the same damn way and want to try out the best and biggest lip trends, read this. Here are 5 of the season’s hottest lip trends and how to ace each one of them...

Shimmery lips

Blunt liner

The ‘kira kira’ lip has to be the most glamourous and dazzling of all lip trends till now. Apply your normal lip colour and put some shimmery beige or cosmetic glitter eyeshadow on top of it to add bling to your lips.

Metallic lip

Blunt liner

Metallic makeup made a comeback with reflective, foil like lips and we are totally crushing over it. To rock this lip trend, apply your liquid highlighter after you’ve dressed your lips in your favourite lip colour, and blend evenly.

Blurred pout

Blunt liner

Rejoice as you don’t need to be a pro at lining your lips for mastering this trend. Apply a lipstick shade of your choice and dab the colour around the edges for a blurred effect. We suggest using Lakmé 9to5 Primer + Matte Lip Color - MR18 Maroon Mix for this as it smudges easily and then settles to a matte finish.

Stained lip

Blunt liner

The peck of colour on the lips that almost seems like you got it from enjoying a popsicle or drinking wine, this lip trend is the most understated and elegant look of all. We are simply in love with this barely-there lip colour. To get this look, apply Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color - Firestarter Red in dots and blend it using your fingertips.

Blunt liner

Blunt liner

A raging lip trend in the 90’s, blunt liner is back and how! Instead of only using brown and nude lip colours, now you can wear any lip shade to sport this trend. What you have to do is line your lips with a dark lip liner and then fill the inner lips with a lighter shade, barring the edges. Blend slightly and it’s done!
