One of the worst things that can happen to a makeup lover like you and I is looking at a dried out and hard-to-use-again makeup product; especially lip liners and eye pencils. Let’s accept it, this situation is worse than a heartbreak. Applying dried lip liners and eye pencils is not an easy task because they not just deliver a patchy application but also tug and pull at your skin. But if you think that the only way to deal with dried eye and lip pencils is to throw them out, then we are going to ask you to stop and read this article further.
Throwing away your favourite lip and eye pencil just because it has gone dry is going to feel very passé once you read this hack. This hack is extremely simple and requires very little time and effort. Curious to know how it is done? Well, read on to find how to use all those old and dried out lip and eye pencils like they’re as good as new...
You will need:
A dried lip liner or an eye pencil
A cosmetic sharpener
Vaseline Original Pure Skin Jelly
Step 01: Use the sharpener to sharpen the top most layer of the dried lip or eye pencil. Remember that you do not need to take away layer after layer, just one twist should be enough to do the job.
Step 02: Now rub the tip of the pencil vigorously between your palms to help warm up the product. Alternatively, you could warm the product by placing the tip of the pencil over the flame of the candle for a few seconds.
Step 03: Lastly, take a really tiny amount of Vaseline Original Pure Skin Jelly and apply it to the tip of the pencil using a brush. Set the pencil aside to help soak up the Vaseline and leave it completely hydrated and ready to use. Quite simple, isn’t it?
Note: Please note that this process is just for makeup pencils that are still well within their expiry dates but have dried out due to some reason. If the pencils you are planning to use have expired, we request you to throw them away ASAP.
