French manicures will always be a classic favourite for many, however the same old style can get a little boring. With the party season in full swing a double-French mani will complement your outfits and make your hands look stylish and elegant. A simple add-on to the classic French manicure, the double-French mani is easy to achieve, we show you how…
Things you will need:
- Select 2-4 different nail colour shades, depending on the occasion choose a base colour or coat, a colour to go on the tips and two more for the stripes.
- Base coat and top coat
- Cellophane tape
Step 1: Start by applying the base coat. Once it is completely dry follow with two coats of base colour if you wish.
Step 2: Cut a small piece of cellophane tape and stick it on the nail bed in a way that only the tip is exposed. Repeat on all the nails.
Step 3: Apply two coats of nail paint to all the tips and wait for it to dry. Once the polish is set peel off the tape.
Step 4: Now take another short piece of tape and stick it to the nail 1/8th of an inch below the first line you painted. If you’re aiming for thinner lines, place the tape a little closer.
Step 5: Paint the area between the first line and the tape carefully and wait for it to dry. Once dry peel off the tape.
Step 6: Once both the lines are completely dry finish with a top coat.
