You know that barely there, no makeup look that you see on countless celebrities? It’s my absolute favourite. But the au-natural, look-at-me-I’m-just-genetically-blessed look takes more work than you think. So if you want to flaunt the no-makeup makeup look, then here’s a step-by-step tutorial to help you out.
- Pamper your skin
Start with a moisture-rich sheet mask that instantly hydrates the skin. Keep the mask on for 15 minutes and then massage the remaining product into the skin. Once the product has been absorbed, wipe off the excess.
- Prime it up
Next up, apply some primer to the T-zone area because this area is often crowded with pores and tends to get oily. Before you move onto the rest of your makeup application, fill in your eyebrows using an eyebrow pencil.
- Apply a CC cream
Once the primer has soaked in, apply a CC cream. It covers skin imperfections and creates a flawless base. Use a wet sponge to blend the CC cream as it gives a more natural skin-like finish.
- Dress your eyes
Apply a nude colour as a transition colour, then dip into a mauve shade to colour the entire eyelid. Blend well for a softer effect. Then take a brown kajal and line the upper and lower waterline. For the lower lashline, mix the mauve and nude colour and use it rim the eyes. That’s pretty much it. Finish off with a generous coat of mascara.
- Highlight your high points
Add some colour on the cheeks using the lip and cheek tint. For this look, avoid contouring and instead use highlighter to enhance your facial features. Apply highlighter on the high points of your face like the cheeks, brow bone, nose and chin.
- Pucker up
Lastly, overline your lips to make your pout look bigger. Then fill it in with the same lip and cheek tint. And voila! You’re done!
