Even though the history of celebrating Pride month in June goes back a couple of decades, it still feels new and every single time. Global and local LGBTQ communities and allies like to take this time to start and engage in conversations that are centered around love and acceptance. And as expected, they do it in their fun and creative ways. Especially online creators who use their social media platforms to share their unique content in honour of Pride month. One of our favourite creative outlets that celebrates equality of love are Pride-inspired makeup looks; rainbow-themed glam to be precise. We love the quirky ways creators come up with to play off the colours of the Pride flag with each other and if you want to showcase your support as well, here are a few eye makeup looks you can recreate...
- 01. Of brows and diamante
- 02. Pastel rainbow
- 03. Aesthetic shadow
- 04. Eclectic shapes
- 05. Blended to perfection
01. Of brows and diamante

Starting with a minimal colour play that has been elevated with some embellishments, this brow-accented eye makeup look is totally adorable. Use coloured kohls, preferably ones with bright undertones like the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate The Gelato Collection to create the slender rainbow streak under your brows. Fill the rest of the lid with diamante or starry embellishments, with a subtle flush of colour to balance the rainbow hues.
02. Pastel rainbow

It is not a hard and fast rule to use every colour of the Pride flag to create your themed makeup look. Pick 3-4 hues that you love and use it to recreate a stacked winged liner that covers your entire eyelid. Fill the negative spaces with some sheer highlighter to make the colours pop even more. Use the same highlighter on the high point of your face - cheekbones, tip of the nose, and into the hairline - to make the entire look more uniform.
03. Aesthetic shadow

No list about Pride beauty looks will be complete without an aesthetic pick in it - especially when TikTok happens to dominate the makeup trends with its unique take on it. Combine cloud eyeshadow with a rainbow colour-fill to create this eye look, focusing the bright colours on the inside of the eye and the deeper hues on the outside corner.
04. Eclectic shapes

A neat trick to recreate this eye look is to mix and match product textures in order to create shapes. While you can use a matte eyeshadow palette to create the base, this shade of blue can be accessible from the Lakmé Absolute Infinity Eye Shadow Palette - Midnight Magic, you will need coloured kohls for the baby clouds and liquid liners for the streak of rainbow going upwards. Place the design above the crease and fill the rest with a bold cat-eye liner to finish the look.
05. Blended to perfection

We are hoping that you have been practicing your eyeshadow blending skills during the lockdown because this makeup look happens to be so trendy right now. You will need to create a neutralizing base on your eyelid to make the colours pop and blend smoothly; use an easily blendable formula like Lakmé Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer for this one.
