Small but mighty—this can totally be used eyebrows. This little feature can change your entire look. In fact, every era in makeup can be defined by its eyebrow trend. The ‘90s gave us thin brows, the early 2000s gave us the stripe brows, then we witnessed a 180-degree change with the sharpie brows in 2015. So, what is 2022’s signature look? We’re listing down six eyebrow trends that are all set to rock this year!
- 01. Bushy Brows
- 02. Natural Brows
- 03. Feather Brows
- 04. Laminated Brows
- 05. Foxy Brows
- 06. Straight Brows
01. Bushy Brows

Cara Delevingne started the bushy brows wildfire, and it’s still going strong. But we’re not complaining! Untamed and fluffy brows add a unique, youthful look to the face. And the best part? This trend requires minimal products and effort. If you have naturally thick and full brows, just brush them with a brow gel or a clean spoolie. If you have sparse brows, fill them in with your preferred product, ensuring the colour isn’t too dark for your brows.
02. Natural Brows

We’re over the 2015 sharpie brows. 2021 was all about letting your natural beauty shine, and we see similar trends in 2022. So whether you have thin brows, thick brows, full brows or bushy brows, rock them with confidence because natural brows are trendy! All you need to do is stick to your original brow shape and groom your brows as per your liking. The key is to make them look as natural as possible. Even beauty gurus have started reaching for eyebrow tones close to the hair colour, or lighter than eyebrow hair colour, to give a softer appearance.
03. Feather Brows

Feather brows are a trend where a micro pencil or an eyebrow felt tip liner is used to create short, hair-like strokes to imitate the look of eyebrow hair. Once the brows are filled, they’re brushed upwards and out to create an effortless look. This technique adds volume to your brow hair without looking fake.
You can try this trend with a fine tip eyebrow definer like the Lakmé Absolute Micro Brow Perfecter. The specially designed 1.5mm tip is perfect for drawing hair-like strokes! It also comes with a spoolie on the other end to blend the product into your brow hair and give you the most natural effect.
04. Laminated Brows

Laminated brows are similar to feather brows. While feather brows are simply brushed and set in place, laminated brows are brushed and pressed down on the skin—almost like a brow tattoo. The gaps and sparse spots are filled in with a thin brush or micro tip product, and then brows are locked in place by gently pressing the hair down. You can also experiment with shapes for this look!
05. Foxy Brows

The foxy eyeliner trend was all about giving yourself a faux facelift. Following a similar fashion, foxy brows are meant to give your face a pulled-back effect. Contrary to regular eyebrow trends, you brush the tail of your eyebrow upwards to make them look more snatched!
06. Straight Brows

What was once called ‘Spock brows’ is now a runway sensation! Yet again, we’re taking inspiration from South Korea, especially K-pop. Straight brows have been a mega-hit all over the globe. We’ve seen it in fashion weeks, on red carpets, all over Instagram, the list goes on! But this is nothing new. Our beloved Audrey Hepburn was a big fan of straight brows, and we get it! It adds a soft, ethereal look to the face and doesn’t look too prominent. All you need to do is brush your eyebrow hair outwards in a straight line and fill them in that shape. Straight brows also make your face look rounder and fuller.
