Day 2 of the Lakme Fashion Week was high on creativity, both in terms of fashion and beauty looks. On the day dedicated to sustainable fashion, we witnessed some of the most gorgeous hair buns, and bold eye makeup looks. But what really caught our attention was the stunning brown smokey eye look spotted at the last show of the day, showcased by one of the most prominent designers in the country — Ritu Kumar.
The collection this season was a stylish blend of modern minimalism with a boho touch. It consisted of a contemporary suit line, followed by environmental-friendly soya fabric saris that included a mix and match of floral prints and geometric designs. The models walked on the ramp sporting a sultry brown smokey eye look that perfectly complemented the collection.
The eye makeup look is perfect for a casual day out or even a night out with your gal pals. Here’s how you can recreate the look.
Step 01: Prep and prime to get the smoothest base. Begin by cleansing and moisturising your skin, then apply a tiny amount of Lakmé Absolute Undercover Gel Primer on your eyelids.
Step 02: Next, apply the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer using the wand to get a crease-free and flawless finish. This full-coverage formula is perfect for hiding those nasty dark circles.
Step 03: To create the brown smokey eye look, you need two shades of brown. Start by picking a lighter shade from the Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Eye Shadow Palettes - Smokin Glam and blend it upwards, going all the way to the brows. Then, pick the dark brown shade from the palette and spread it on your eyelid.
Step 04: The Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate is specially designed to create the perfect smokey eye look. Apply it to the waterline and close to the lash line, then use the smudger applicator to soften the look.
Step 05: Last but not least, to finish off your smokey eye look, apply 2-3 coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara on your top and bottom lashes, and you’re done!
