Lakmé Fashion Week 2021: OTT Hair And Makeup Looks Stole The Show On Day 1
Written by Urvi DalalMar 17, 2021
Another amazing season of the Lakmé Fashion Week kickstarted today, and we’re already obsessed! For the first-ever ‘phygital’ fashion week, the organisers and designers played with different themes and studio effects to bring us a truly one-of-a-kind viewing experience.
But that’s not only the reason why we are loving this edition of the Lakmé Fashion Week. On the first day itself, we were served some kickass beauty looks that were both OTT and oh-so-stunning. From sky-high braided top knots to using falsies as eyebrows, the first day of Lakmé Fashion Week 2021 truly began on a high note. For those of you who couldn’t catch all the action live, we’ve rounded up the top funky beauty looks from Day 1, fresh off the runway…
Arpita Mehta’s show was a total visual treat. Shot on a beach, the models were seen wearing flowy printed silhouettes that made us want to teleport ourselves to a beach ASAP. Interestingly, these breezy outfits were paired with holographic embellishments placed all over the eyelids, instantly jazzing things up and taking the entire look several notches higher.
02. Lash brows and sleek hairstyles
The Bloni show looked like a scene right out of a sci-fi movie! From sporting spooky white lenses to rocking badass sleek hairstyles, the models looked otherworldly, quite literally. But what caught out attention was the placement of falsies. They were placed on the brows, adding more edge to the already funky looks.
03. Grunge eye makeup
Another OTT trend that caught our fancy was this grunge eye makeup look seen at the Raffughar show. This brown and red eye makeup looks really raw and edgy. While it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted, makeup maximalists can surely give this OTT eye makeup look a try.
