What is reverse cat eye makeup?

How to get the reverse cat eye look

Just as the name suggests, reverse cat eye makeup is a recreation of the classic cat eyeliner but on the lower lash line. This gives an inverted, smokey wing to your eyes, adding a beautiful feline silhouette to it. The best bit is that it’s pretty easy to recreate. This means you can give your eyes a sultry touch without having to spend hours in front of your vanity — how cool is that?

Step 1: Start by prepping your eyelids with primer or concealer to even them out before applying eyeshadow.

Step 2: Pick a grey eyeshadow and apply it evenly on your eyelids and lower lash line.

Step 3: Now, swipe a dark kohl eyeliner liner like the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate along the lower eyelash line. Make sure to elongate it around the inner corner while winging it out on the outer corner to get that cat-like effect.

Step 4: Lastly, use your detailed eye brush to smudge out the edges of the kohl liner. You can also use a little black eyeshadow around the edges to add a smokey effect to your eyes, and that’s it; your reverse cat-eyes are done.
