The classic cat eye has been around for centuries and we all love sporting the simple, no-fuss look. However, there are times when you need to step up and power up the drama a little. We’ve got all the inspiration to help you take the basic cat eyeliner to new heights. Here are three creative looks to break out of your boring and regular cat eye, are you bold enough to try them?

The double wing

The double wing is as simple to pull off as its classic version, precision is the key here. First use your favourite, the classic Lakmé Insta Eye Liner – Black to draw a basic winged liner on the upper eye lid. Now draw a smaller half floating liner on top and extend it to merge with the first line. You can use a cotton swab dipped in micellar water to get rid of mishaps if any.

The modern Cleopatra

If you’ve sported a Cleopatra before you will know it is one of the most dramatic eye looks. So on days when you want to take the drama several notches up don’t just go for the classic Cleopatra but add some fun to it. Our version of the modern Cleopatra includes using two different shades of eyeliner – the Lakmé Eyeconic Liner Pen Fine Tip - Black for creating bold and smooth line on the upper eyelid and the Lakmé Insta Eye Liner – Blue for a stunning and dramatic line on the lower eyelid. Merge the two at the corner of your eyes to get the modern Cleopatra look.

The fat cat wing

Take a new approach to the classic retro cat eye look with this thicker and bolder version. The easiest way to pull off this look in the first attempt is by drawing at outline. Start at the outer corner of your eyes and then extend it to inner corner of your eyes, we recommend the Lakmé Kareena Kapoor Khan Absolute Eye Definer – Onyx to create this look. Its smooth formula and rich pigment is easy to work with and gives a flawless finish.
