It’s every fashionista’s favourite time of the year; a time when runways are ablaze and fashion fever strikes everyone. That’s right, Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive has kicked off and as of last night, all roads lead to designer Tarun Tahiliani’s prestigious show. If you, like us, were love struck by every look that hit the runway; look no further. We’re giving you a lowdown on the beauty look seen on opening night and how you can get it for yourself…

Stellar skin

Stellar skin

For the luminescent skin seen on the ramp, start by prepping your face with the Lakmé Absolute Perfect Radiance Whitening Serum. Its micro-crystals and Vita-Resorcinol will enhance your skin’s natural radiance. Then dot on the Lakmé 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation for natural coverage (almost as good as putting nothing.) On the hollows of your cheeks, dust the Lakmé 9 to 5 Pure Rouge in Ginger Surprise and blend well to add depth to the look.

Bright eyes

Bright eyes

To get the bright eyed look which was seen on showstopper Kangana Ranaut, start by patting the gold shade from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Gold Eyeshadow Palette all over the eyelid and in the inner corner. Stay close to the upper lash line and draw it in with the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist in Burnished Brown which will lend dimension while keeping it natural. Complete the look with defined lashes with a few strokes of the Lakmé Eyeconic Curling Mascara.

Sparkling pout

Sparkling pout

What better way to raise a toast to a brand new fashion season than with a sparkling, wine toned lip! To steal the style with ease, all you need is the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Lip Shimmer in Burgundy Beam. The deep shade will add sophistication while the shimmering finish will leave your pout sparkling.

Bohemian bun

Bohemian bun

Complementing the gypsy vibe of the collection was a fantastic bohemian bun consisting of multiple braids and feathers. To make the hairstyle your own, first spritz your hair with the Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray for more definition and divide your hair into 6 sections from your hairline. Proceed to plait each section into a separate braid. At the nape, collect all the braids together and tie them into a low bun. Then insert colourful feathers in the base of the bun and your bohemian bun is ready!
