While applying henna on festive occasions can make your hair look exquisite, it also work wonders against greying hair.

Start off by soaking this plant based dye in a bowl of water and let it stay overnight.

Next day, boil black tea leaves in water, letting them steep for a few minutes (caution: don’t let them steep for too long). Then, set them aside to cool.

Pour the henna paste over the tea leaves. You can add lemon juice to this mix as well. Stir this concoction well, till you get a smooth paste.

Apply this mixture onto your hair, using a hair applicator. Ensure that you’ve covered all your grey hairs. Let this mixture sit on your hair for about an hour and then, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Try switching to a sulphate-free shampoo for better results.

Repeat this process once every month and you’ll soon see the magic of henna start to work wonders on your hair.

This is a quick and efficient hack. Curry leaves are rich in antioxidants like vitamin A, vitamin E, calcium, iron and copper, which can help restrict the greying and also help you attain silky smooth hair.

Start off by heating the curry leaves along with coconut oil until you see a black residue start to form. Then, set this mixture aside and let it cool for a while. Once the oil has cooled down, massage your hair with this oil, right from the roots to the tips.

You can leave this concoction on for about an hour or two. Later, wash your hair with a sulphate-free shampoo. This process can easily be repeated twice or thrice in a week.

Caffeine is an excellent psychoactive drug that helps us to stay pumped up. But coffee, particularly black coffee, can also help you resolve the problem of premature greying.

Brew a strong pot of coffee and then, let it cool down since you do not wish to burn your scalp with it. Gently, pour the coffee onto your hair and massage with your fingers. Let the coffee soak in for approximately 20 minutes. This will temporarily stain your hair dark brown. Later, rinse the coffee off with cold water; ditch the shampoo this time though.

Repeat this process about twice or thrice a week for best results.
